bodies in space. otherbodies. alienbodies.
nobodies. love and loss.
you feel yourself twisted in space, trunk cracked by storm, your indian gum
exposed. kids carve peurile graffittis upon you. inscribed you
are, with characters alien and banal. terrified, but of what you're
unsure. a storm, unseeable (you're a tree), scattering toys, pages,
bodies, the tender flesh bodies of
afternoon shoppers, cradled babies, smooching lovers, factory workers, painters
with brushes, game players, money lenders, sound men, unsound men, child
actors, the newly-dead, gardeners, fishermen, miners, existentialists, cynics,
the devout, the hard-working, the indigent, the hairy, nose-pickers, cherry
pickers, the eyeball picker, the children of the very famous, convenience
store clerks, soda jerks, preachers teachers and bellybutton itchers,
persons of profound thought, persons in great pain, the afflicted in
spirit, mathematicians, photographers, psychoanalysts, pantheists, panamanians,
professional wrestlers, the glitterati, really hungry people,
fat people, smelly people, really smelly people, people giggling, snorting
cocaine, belching, taking bites out of apples.
shocked innocents,
terrrified evil-doers, leaping frogs, a chaotic inertia, nothing to be
done, entropic poprocks, a whimper…
